UCL Institute of Jewish Studies

quad-home

UCL Institute of Jewish Studies (IJS) is a research centre dedicated to the promotion of all aspects of Jewish scholarship and civilisation at the highest level of academic excellence.

Through its lecture programmes and conferences it reaches every section of the Jewish community and the interested non-Jewish public. It collaborates with all academic institutions within the University of London, and throughout the UK and internationally.

The centre is funded not by UCL, but by charities, trusts and private donations. We are always happy to accept donations (large or small) to support the future of our work in giving a public platform to the latest research and discourse in Jewish Studies.

Visit Support IJS to find out more - every donation is most welcome and really appreciated.

The founding principle of the IJS is that 'there should be no barriers to learning' exists today.

All our events (including our conferences) are free to attend and open to everyone. There’s no need to book - just turn up.

To join our MAILING LIST for events updates direct to your inbox, please send an email with 'Mailing List' in the subject to: ijs@ucl.ac.uk
