From 2012-13, the fifth year SSC in Global Health will become research-only. Students will come to work at the Institute for Global Health for four weeks. Before they come they should consider which global health topic they would like to carry out literature-based research on during their time with us. The SSC begins with an introduction to global health and techniques for literature searching in social science. Students will then be assigned a supervisor based on their initial research plan. They will then work with this supervisor to produce a 6,000-word report. This SSC is open to all final year medical students at UCL, including those who have done the International Health intercalated BSc.
