PhD focus: An analysis of policy decision processes of Human Papilloma Virus vaccine adoption in India. The HPV vaccine is administered to prevent cervical cancer, and India has a quarter of the global cervical cancer burden. Yet there is no HPV vaccine policy in India. It has different images among policy actors, characterized by multiplicity of voices, involving both conservative and subversive political tendencies. The study aims to explore the socio-political nature of the HPV vaccine policy decision making process.
