Tackling diabetes in Bangladesh
Diabetes currently affects around 30% of the adult population of Bangladesh. Lifestyle aspects such as diet, smoking and lack of exercise are all risk factors. Ed Fottrell will lead a new study, part of the Global Alliance of Chronic Diseases/MRC diabetes research initiative to generate data in rural villages in Faridpur district.
