International Child Health

The MSc in International Child Health will be substantively restructured for the 2014/15 academic year to better take advantage of our partnership with MSc programmes at the Institute for Child Health. Following lengthy discussion, the MSc in International Child Health offered by the UCL Institute for Global Health programme will be transferred to the UCL Institute of Child Health, one of the leading European research institutions on Child Health in close partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital http://www.ucl.ac.uk/ich/homepage.

The new programme will be offered as a pathway of the existing MSc in Paediatrics and Child Health and it will be called MSc in Paediatrics and Child Health: Global Child Health. http://www.ucl.ac.uk/silva/msc-paediatrics-and-child-health/

Entry requirements:

Applicants must have a 2:1 or above (or equivalent) in: medical degree, post qualification experience in paediatrics or child health, nursing and other allied health professions, sciences, humanities, or social sciences.

English requirements: GOOD level (overall grade of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the subtests)

MSc in Paediatrics and Child Health: Global Child Health

The new programme will be offered as a Master degree (180 credits), Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits) or a Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits) Students can complete the Master and Postgraduate Diploma Full-time (one year) or Modular/Flexible (over 5 years). The Postgraduate Certificate is offered Full-time (One term) or Part-time (over 2 years)

Structure of the Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatrics and Child Health: Global Child Health

Students wishing to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma must complete 120 credits, which consist of 4 compulsory modules (60 credits) and 4 Optional modules (60 credits) from the above menu. PG Diploma students will not undertake the Research Project.
