Active Buildings

Active Buildings was a unique investigation into how the spatial layout of the office building influences office workers' occupational step count, sitting and standing time. Data for the study were collected and analysed using a combination of surveys and novel physical activity monitoring devices. Active Buildings was a collaboration between the UCL Department of Epidemiology and Public Health and the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies. Active Buildings was funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) through its School for Public Health Research (SPHR).
