Cancer Fear

Many people in the general population worry about getting cancer, and this may affect their engagement with cancer early-detection and prevention.  The aim of this project is to advance understanding of cancer fear and its effects on participation in cancer screening, help-seeking for a possible cancer symptom, or cancer preventive lifestyle behaviours.

This project is funded by Cancer Research UK through a Programme Grant (2012-2018) awarded to Prof Jane Wardle.
