The Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care held its second successful film screening on 7 June 2017, this time showing Ken Loach's visceral

The drama was followed by a short talk on health inequalities by Professor Sir Michael Marmot, before a panel discussion chaired by Dr Anne McMunn, involving Interim Institute Director Professor Andrew Hayward, BSc Population Health lead Dr Nicola Shelton, and Emeritus Professor Graham Scambler.  

Questions from the audience included the impact of research on government policy, whether there are examples of effective welfare systems, and the effects of good interventional research. Special thanks go to Graham Riach for his filming of the discussion.
