iCST Dementia Online Education Training

Individual Cognitive Stimulation Therapy offers mental stimulation activities which enhance the relationship quality of people with dementia and their carers and carers' quality of life.

Upcoming iCST Dementia Training Course

The iCST Dementia Training programme aims to engage people with dementia in taking part in iCST sessions by applying the iCST Key principles, techniques and communication into iCST sessions. 

Learning objectives:

  • An introduction of iCST dementia intervention and research findings 
  • Understand the iCST key principles
  • Familiarise with the themese inth iCST sessions
  • Apply the iCST key principles, techniques and practice effective communication skills
  • Develop problem-solving skills to engage the person into iCST sessions

Learning outcomes

  • Understand the theories of mental stimulation and the evidence-based of iCST
  • Apply the iCST key principles, communication skills and techniques.
  • Deliver iCST to the person with dementia and train family carers individually 
  • Develop problem-solving strategies to deliver iCST sessions. 

iCST dementia training is suitable for family carers of people with dementia or anyone with an interest in applying the iCST key principles techniques in iCST sessions

INDIVIDUAL COGNITIVE STIMULATION (ICST) THERAPY DEMENTIA ONLINE TRAINING

iCST dementia online (via Zoom) training is on Thursday 18th April, from 16.00 to 22.30 (BST)  and Tuesday 23rd April from 10.00 to 16.30 (BST)
