Introduction to Survival/Time-to-event Data Analysis

29th June, 2017: This one-day course introduces the concept of modelling time-to event data, commonly known as survival analysis. Log-rank tests and Cox proportional hazard regression models are used to determine associations between different factors and the event occurring.

Paediatric Rheumatology Course

The aim of the course is to provide an update in the diagnosis and multidisciplinary management of children with rheumatological diseases and to encourage the development of shared clinical networks. The first 2 days provide a comprehensive grounding in the subject and form a basic to moderate level course, whilst day 3 will cover more advanced topics and will be suitable for more experienced practitioners.

Family Based Treatment for Adolescent Anorexia Nervosa – A training workshop

Eating disorders affect a great percentage of adolescents. Research has supported the use of Family-Based Treatment (FBT) as an evidence-based therapy for the treatment of eating disorders in adolescents. This course will train psychologists, child psychiatrists, and other eating disorders specialists in FBT.

26-27th July, 2017: This course provides an overview of different regression types and details the application of multiple linear regression. Day one of the course focuses on the theory behind regression analysis, in particular linear regression, and covers the formulation, interpretation and validation of linear regression models. A second, optional day allows delegates hands-on use of a statistical package (SPSS) to see how the theory can be applied to answer a specific research question.
