3rd May, 2017: This one day course aims to familiarise participants with the R interface and the R language, in order to enable them to conduct statistical analysis; from reading in their datasets to performing mainstream statistical tests.

Introduction to SPSS

4th May, 2017: This one-day course offers an introduction to the uses and functions of the statistical software SPSS including data entry and editing, and the basics of analyses and graphs. The course is ideally suited to those with little/no experience with SPSS, but basic knowledge of statistics is advantageous.

Introduction to Regression Analysis

8th-9th May, 2017: This course provides an overview of different regression types and details the application of multiple linear regression. Day one of the course focuses on the theory behind regression analysis, in particular linear regression, and covers the formulation, interpretation and validation of linear regression models. A second, optional day allows delegates hands-on use of a statistical package (SPSS) to see how the theory can be applied to answer a specific research question.

ANOVA/GLMs with SPSS

Each section in a paper is covered in turn and there is much emphasis on evaluating the collection and analysis of data as described by the authors. The aim of the course is to provide an update in the diagnosis and multidisciplinary management of children with rheumatological diseases and to encourage the development of shared clinical networks.
