Paediatric Tracheostomy Course for Speech and Language Therapists

28 - 29 June 2018 
This two day course is aimed at clinicians working with children with tracheostomies in both the hospital and community setting. Workshops will allow delegates to familiarise themselves with different tubes and problem-solve their application. Participants/lecturers will include members of the Therapy, Surgical and Nursing Teams from GOSH Trust.

Childhood visual impairment and mental health: science into practice

2 - 4 July 2018
The psychological wellbeing and mental health needs of children and young people with visual impairment and their families have been greatly neglected. Two main charities, the Mary Kitzinger Trust and Royal Society for Blind Children, have come together with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and University College London to host this conference. Together with the contributors and participants, we hope to spearhead important changes to improve understanding and meeting needs better. 

Paediatric Rheumatology Course

11 - 13 July 2018
The aim of the course is to provide an update in the diagnosis and multidisciplinary management of children with rheumatological diseases and to encourage the development of shared clinical networks. The first 2 days provide a comprehensive grounding in the subject and form a basic to moderate level course, whilst day 3 will cover more advanced topics and will be suitable for more experienced practitioners.

This popular two-day course aimed to provide key learning points and totally up-to-date information across general paediatrics. Practical, interactive & suitable for consultants, trainees and allied healthcare professionals.

British Association for Paediatric Otolaryngology Annual Meeting

14 September 2018
The Annual Meeting for the British Association for Paediatric Otolaryngology will be meeting at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health in London this year. The John Evans lecture will be delivered by the world renowned Paediatric ENT Surgeon Professor Robin Cotton from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and promises to continue the high standards of teaching and research from BAPO.

Aetiological Investigations for Hearing Loss in Children

8 - 9 October 2018
Aetiological Investigation of the babies identified by the Newborn Hearing Screening Program and diagnosed to have a hearing loss (from mild to profound), also covering investigation of older children, unilateral and progressive hearing loss & Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder.

Nephrology Day for General Paediatricians

23 November 2018
This one day course aims to give a full overview of paediatric nephrology by selecting different themes each year and presenting them in a way which will be suitable for general paediatricians. 

GOSH Practical Paediatric Neuroimaging Course

5 December 2018
The content covers the breadth of day to day paediatric neuroradiology practice and aims to equip the practitioner with key image interpretation skills, focussing on diagnostic pearls and pitfalls one commonly encounters in paediatrics.

Neonatal and Paediatric Ventilation

6 - 7 December 2018
This popular course combines lectures with practical workshop sessions. The programme includes a wide range of topics including initiation, maintenance, weaning off assisted ventilation and special ventilatory techniques.
