- British Cardiac Society. The British Cardiac Society was established in 1922, and is a charitable body. The majority of our membership are UK cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, but also includes other doctors and healthcare professionals. The Society is involved in education, the setting of clinical standards and research into heart and circulatory diseases.
