Normal opening hours
Monday to Friday: 8.00am - 11.00pm
Saturday & Sunday: 8.00am - 7.00pm
Out of hours bookings
These may be accepted for any period during the week and at weekends, subject to availability, but may incur an additional fee to cover relief reception/security staff. These costs are normally charged at £10 per person/hour but may be subject to variation.
All bookings must finish at the stated time. Failure to vacate the facilities on time may result in additional charges being incurred.
Food & drink in rooms
and organisers are requested to take these restrictions into account when planning events and making bookings.
Catering
All catering must be provided by the Institute's own
caterers,

Food and refreshments may not in any circumstances be brought onto the premises.
The Institute is licensed to serve and sell alcohol on the premises subject to certain conditions.
Cloakroom facilities
A small cloakroom is available but, for very large events or where a manned cloakroom is required, an additional small room should be booked for this purpose.
The Institute is unable to accept liability for loss or damage to personal property.
Audiovisual assistance
An audiovisual technician is available as required at a cost of £15/hour during normal office hours, and £30/hour at other times. A minimum attendance period of two hours applies at weekends.

Transport
The Institute is a short walk from King's Cross and Euston mainline railway stations, and is easily accessible by underground from other national and international rail terminals including Charing Cross, Waterloo, Victoria, Marylebone, Paddington and Liverpool Street. The closest underground stations are Holborn on the Central Line and Russell Square on the Piccadilly Line.
Parking
The Institute has no parking facilities of its own, but is within short walking distance of National Car Parks in Marchmont Street and Judd Street
Short stay metered parking is also available outside the Institute's premises, and in adjacent roads.
Facilities for the disabled
All the conference facilities are easily accessible by wheelchair. Both lecture theatres can accommodate wheelchairs (by prior arrangement) and are fitted with induction loop systems for the hearing impaired.
Residential accommodation
There are many hotels within a short walk of the Institute of Child Health. Further information regarding hotel accommodation is available on request.
Tourist attractions
The Institute is in central London offering delegates the ideal
opportunity
to explore places of interest, including the West End and Covent
Garden,
the British Museum and British Library, the South Bank Centre
and the
Barbican.
