Clinical Fellowship Attachments
The DNC is a centre of accredited training for neuromuscular disorders in children. We accept self funded fellows to come and work with us both in the field of clinical aspect of paediatric neuromuscular disorders, of muscle pathology or of physical therapy.
For clinical fellows we typically accept attachment, for periods of 6-12 months, of colleagues who have a clear intention to pursue a clinical or academic career in neuromuscular disorders. Applicants wishing to apply for an attachment should write to Professor Muntoni one page letter of intent; send a copy of the CV; indicate the name of 2 senior referees; and suggest an indicative period of 6-12 months when the attachment could take place. We will provide a response within 4 weeks from the application.
Once accepted it is important that the fellow contacts the General Medical Council to obtain the information on how to register, as without the GMC registration it is not possible to have direct patient contact.
