Joint Research and Development Office

All research carried out at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and the UCL Institute of Child Health (ICH) is managed by the Joint Research and Development Office.

To ensure that our clinical research is of the highest quality, a committee of senior staff, including statisticians, peer reviews all research proposals.

Courses are run for all research staff so that their knowledge of good clinical practice is up to date.

The R&D Office has dedicated teams who can provide:

  • facilitation of pre-award stages
  • clinical trials co-ordination
  • full economic costing
  • negotiation of commercial and non-commercial contracts
  • Intellectual Property management
  • research governance (regulatory and legal requirements) for CSP and non-CSP studies.
