Who to contact

The Division of Research and Innovation offers research expertise across a number of fields, including management, delivery and collaboration. The Joint Research and Development Office is further divided into a series of dedicated teams who can assist with research management throughout the entire project lifecycle, offering guidance on funding and governance and ensuring compliance with Department of Health regulations, thus allowing researchers to concentrate on their research projects.

Research governance

Once funding has been secured, the research governance team assist with research governance requirements and provide R&D approval, thus ensuring that scientific and ethical standards are upheld. Clinical trials

Biomedical Research Centre

Our NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (GOSH BRC) funds and supports experimental & translational biomedical research; research that brings basic laboratory scientific advances into the clinical setting for maximal benefit to children. The BRC Manager leads on the implementation of strategy.

Clinical Research Adoptions Committee

Finance

GOSH Costing and ICH Finance provide costs for, review and submit non-commercial grant applications. If a grant is successful, GOSH Management Accounts will then oversee contracts and financial accounts; UCL Research Services manage the post-award administration for ICH held awards and oversee all EU-awarded projects.

Somers Clinical Research Facility

The Somers Clinical Research Facility is a state-of-the-art ward within GOSH providing day care accommodation for children participating in clinical trials and is available to GOSH and ICH staff undertaking clinical research. Our clinical, management and data staff work alongside researchers on a diverse range of clinical studies.
