How to Practise Evidence-based Child Health

The centre runs a variety of introductory courses for health professionals who require an understanding of research methodology and statistical analyses. We also provide training in R statistical software.

Training tomorrow's researchers
We are committed to training and developing the next generation of leading population and child health researchers by:
- inspiring talented clinicians and graduates from diverse backgrounds to undertake population-based research in our centre
- promoting excellence in population-based research through the provision of training in statistical and other methods
- providing doctoral training opportunities and a world-class training environment for PhD students
- supporting post-doctoral fellows to develop as independent researchers and to succeed in fellowship and grant applications
Community child health
The centre runs a masters course in community child health. It is one of two possible pathways in the ICH Masters in Paediatrics and Child Health.

Doctoral research students
The centre has up to a dozen supervised doctoral research students at any one time, some part-time and some full-time.
We value our PhD students and aim to provide opportunities that attract top quality candidates and that allow students to get the most from their time here.
