Research Facilities
The MMU is housed on the second and third floors of the main ICH building, in purpose built air cooled laboratory accommodation. We are part of the new Birth Defects Research Centre. The Unit has an automated genotyping and sequencing facility, RT.QPCR, tissue culture laboratories, and a dedicated microscope room with an Apo Tome and optical projection tomography. At ICH we have access to next generation sequencing, and microarray analysis. We have cores dedicated to confocal microscopy, electron microscopy (GOSH) and FACS. The Institute has its own transgenic mouse, and zebrafish facility.
