Statistics and Research Methods Course
"Really good course. Eirini's enthusiasm in particular was infectious!"
"Very good at explaining complex concepts in very simple ways; great practicals; very interactive but not too much; great notes and material."
"Eirini is a gifted teacher of stats. Had you asked the question at the end about what stats is, I would have picked 'exciting', because the course had many more exciting moments than I expected. A calculation that informs about an infinite number of sample means? Yeah, that is exciting! It was a great course. I'm going to recommend it to colleagues. Thanks a lot."
"Very good balance of workload with enthusiastic staff (which really helps)."
"The course was excellent, and even I (with little prior experience of applying statistical techniques) after practicals, became much more familiar with statistical methods - and the materials (inc online) will mean that I have the rationale and practical examples for reference with future work. The teaching was excellent and engaging, and tea breaks every 75 minutes was welcomed."
"Excellent course - best explanation of statistical concepts I have ever been to. Thank you!"
"Thank you for an really informative, enjoyable week, where the 3 lecturers managed to convey complex information in a very accessible and understandable way - most impressed."
"I really got a lot more out of the course than I thought I might. I can look at results in journal articles with a lot more knowledge about the statistical analysis. I feel more confident to look at my own data more objectively and to be able to communicate in a much more confident way with the department statistician."
"A great course, should be compulsory for all ICH research students."
"Found the course very useful as a pre-requisite for my statistical modules for my Masters in Public Health"
"I really enjoyed this course. I actually understood the bulk of the concepts! I thought the interactive questions were great."
