The Historical Metallurgy Society is hosting an open day at the Ironbridge Gorge Museum to view and interract with the unique Ronnie Tylecote photographic archive and slag collections.
Anyone interested in getting some hands on experience with handling and preservation of this collection if welcome to join this HMS event being held at Ironbridge Gorge, birthplace of the industrial revolution. Attendees will get to assist with the preservation of the important photographs as well as sort, identify, catologue, and store the Tylecote Slag Collections.
Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided. For those requiring accommodation, the nearby Youth hostels can be found at www.ironbridge.org.uk for details.
