The conference entitled "Copper and Trade in South Eastern Mediterranean" will be held this May on copper, its products, and trade in the Ancient Near East.
This multidisciplinary conference aims at gathering scholars from the fields of archaeometallurgy, geomorphology and geology, human ecology, ethnology,
archaeobotany, archaeozoology with the aim of presenting recent research and developments in the production of copper objects and trade across the Mediterranean and the Near East. Many great presentations have already been confirmed and should be largely relevant to any archaeometallurgists working on copper.
The meeting will be held on the 5 to 7 of May 2012 at the Institute of Archaeology Jagiellonia University, in the heart of the old town of Krakow, Poland.
