Resilience and Resourcefulness

Participants:
This course is suitable for all staff who wish to develop their understanding of resilience at work in order to improve or maintain their levels of performance.

Courses have been targeted to specific staff groups so that participants may explore resilience in relation to their broad range of responsibilities, and share experiences with their peers. When selecting which course to attend, please select from the following:

Overview:

Pressure is a fact of life and can be a positive force, providing energy and motivating you into action, or having an opposite, more negative impact. Sustained pressure without the opportunity to recover can lead to stress. Stress causes emotional and physical symptoms which can make you feel tired, run-down and in more extreme cases can make people unable to cope with day-to-day things.

Resilient people are more able to sustain successful performance and positive wellbeing in the face of adverse situations and are better equipped to adjust to change and recover from setbacks. But even the highest performers have periods where they feel stressed and less resilient, or may go through these periods not noticing that they are being less effective. Therefore, having an understanding of resilience and the tools to deal with the pressures of work effectively can be a real benefit to all.

This interactive course has been developed to help staff understand key elements of resilience and to provide you with practical coping tools and techniques to handle stress and the daily pressures of work.
