Effective Verbal Communication Skills

Participants:
This course is for all staff who would like to improve their verbal communication skills and become more effective with getting their message across to others, receiving feedback and build working relationships. (maximum 16 participants)

Pre-requisites:
None

Overview:
This workshop will improve participants understanding of verbal communication. It will provide a range of techniques to maximise their verbal contributions when working with others.

Anticipated learning outcomes:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

Understand how communication works.
Gain active listening and responding skills.
See things from others points of view.
Develop a structure to use when communicating.
Respond in a language that everyone can understand.
Deliver clear and straightforward messages.
Be more confident during any verbal communication.
Respond to questions confidently and effectively.
