Participants: This ½ day workshop is suitable for all UCL researchers.

Overview: A stable and productive relationship with one’s Principal Investigator is important for both your current work and your future career in research.

Understanding and communicating each other’s needs and challenges can facilitate a win-win situation for both you and your boss.

Anticipated Learning Outcomes:

This workshop will enable you to:

  • pinpoint your needs and those of your PI’s as a first step towards working productively together
  • understand some principles around influencing and assertiveness and help you apply these to some typical scenarios that you may face in your work
