HR Green Statement

We are committed to supporting environmental and sustainability initiatives at UCL.  We will do this by:

  • Taking part in the annual Green Impact programme;
  • Continually work towards identifying our negative environmental effects and reducing them through:
    • Waste reduction
    • Purchasing – with consideration of environmental factors
    • Energy and water reduction
    • Minimising travel
    • Hygiene, health and safety

HR Green Actions for Change

We have identified 11 action points, to help us achieve our aims and objectives.  In summary, they involve facilitating improvements to the heating, ventillation, insulation and energy use to reduce wastage.  For example, requesting changes to the toilets due to excessive waste of paper towels and poorly fitted windows.  We are also using our influence update the UCL all staff induction to include Green awareness.
