An Inaugural Cross-institutional Forum for Race Equality in Higher Education
For the first time, London's leading universities came together to discuss the ongoing barriers faced by Black and Minority Ethnic people (BME) working in higher education. 'Making connections, overcoming barriers' was initiated by UCL's Race Equality Group and held in partnership with Imperial College, King's College, London School of Economics and Queen Mary, University of London.
The Forum received high-level support from Sir Stephen Wall, Chair of UCL Council A report from the Forum includes a series of recommendations for institutions and promotes a vision of further collaborative working between the London Russell Group universities on this important area.
