Title: St Ethelburga's Centre for Peace & Reconciliation
Type of event: Evening trip
In 1993 St Ethelburga's Church in Bishopsgate was destroyed by an IRA bomb. It was rebuilt to its original plan but as well as functioning as a church, it is now a Centre for Peace & Reconciliation, where people of all faiths and none go to build relationships across divisions of conflict, culture and religion. As part of diversity month, the Chaplain & Interfaith Advisor to UCL is planning to take staff and students to St Ethelburga's to learn about the work they do there and gain an insight into how we can improve relationships between people of different cultures and faiths on campus. For more information on St Ethelburga's, please visit their website: www.stethelburgas.org.
This event is open to all UCL staff and students.
Date and time:
25 Feb, 6-8pm- leave UCL at 5.15
To register interest in going on the trip, please contact the Chaplain, Charlotte Ballinger: firstname.lastname@example.org
