Advertising Salaries

The normal practice is to include the salary range inclusive of London Allowance and excluding the contribution points.

In exceptional circumstances (i.e., posts that are extremely difficult to fill), reference to the highest contribution point in the salary range may be made provided that the phrase “subject to performance” is used. For example, an advertisement for a Grade 7 post could state that the salary inclusive of London Weighting is “£28,386 to £34,337 (progression to £37,290 possible, subject to performance)”.
