Cumberland Lodge 2014
Organisers: Dr Antonio Sennis & Dr Coşkun Tuncer
Welcome to the webpage for the 61st conference
for first-year undergraduate UCL History students, which takes place at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great
Park. This year, the Department will be
taking two groups:
Friday 26 September PM - Saturday 27 September PM
Saturday 27 September PM - Sunday 28 September PM
The programme for both groups will include talks and discussions, but there will also be time to explore Windsor, Eton and the extremely pleasant surroundings. The Cumberland Lodge weekend is an important event in the life of the Department as it enables you to get to know your fellow students and members of staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Past generations of students have enjoyed the conference and found it a worthwhile experience.
A small charge has to be made for the weekend and we hope that no one will be deterred from coming because of it. Cumberland Lodge is able to make a contribution from its own resources; with a further subsidy from Departmental funds. The sum of £50 will include travel by coach from UCL to Cumberland Lodge and the return journey, as well as full room and board for your overnight stay. If you are in need of financial assistance in order to be able to attend, you may be eligible for a bursary funded by Cumberland Lodge.
Further information will be sent to students post-confirmation, but if you do have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact Jasmine Gane (firstname.lastname@example.org).
