Research Seminars
Enrolment with the Institute of Classical Studies and Hellenic and Roman Societies
When MA students have registered with their home college, they will need to enrol with the Institute of Classical Studies (at no charge) in order to obtain access to the Library. When they enrol they will be given information about the Institute and its facilities; the Meetings List with details of its extensive additional programme of research seminars, lectures and meetings held in London during the year in Classical and related subjects will be available on the ICS website
Students will also have the opportunity to become members of:
Seminars and Lectures
Students are strongly encouraged to lectures at the following Seminars:
Seminars are held fortnightly from Monday 15 October at 4.30
p.m., at the Institute of Classical Studies.
Seminars are usually 5.00 pm on Mondays, with Greek in the
autumn and Latin in the spring.
Thursdays 4.30-6.00 in all three terms.
Seminars are held throughout the year at 5.00 on Wednesdays at
the Institute of Classical Studies in Senate House South Block,
G22/26; the first seminar will be held on 10 November.
During teaching semesters the King’s College LABS Seminar
meets on every second Tuesday, beginning on 4th October.
Byzantine Texts at IHR on Fridays, 4.30-6.30pm (second term).
