Congratulations to Dr Karen Radner, who
has been granted funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council
for a four-year project: Mechanisms of communication in an ancient empire: the correspondence between the king of Assyria and his magnates. Dr Radner has also been awarded a Provost's Teaching Award 2007/08.

Congratulations to Nicholas Tyacke, who has been appointed Honorary Professor. Professor Tyacke will be giving an inaugural lecture in Spring 2009.
