Research Training Seminar

Graduate students at UCL History can take advantage of a range of training opportunities.

Research Training Seminar (RTS)

The Research Training Seminar (RTS) is the training provided by the History department for its graduate research students. It meets approximately once a fortnight during terms 1 and 2 (or weekly if neccessary), and aims to provide graduate researchers with the practical, intellectual, and emotional skills required to carry out research in history. We also hope to connect students to wider historical debates across different periods of history and to build a supportive community of graduate researchers. Attendance is compulsory for all students who have not yet upgraded, and optional for those beyond upgrade. Some sessions will be most relevant to students in later years.
