16 November 2012
One of the best-known and best-loved former members of the History Department has sadly passed away. Margaret (Peggy) Drower was just short of her 101st birthday. She studied Egyptology at UCL before joining the History Department in 1937 and establishing the the pre-hellenistic Near East as a key part of the History curriculum.
