Peter Burley (PhD 1981), who gave alumni a fascinating tour of the First Battle of St. Albans, has kindly agreed to lead a walking tour of this small but historic area of London.

In a distance of one mile we shall cover various places from Boudicca's alleged burial site, links with Dickens and Hardy, to the prestige heritage, cultural and transport projects of the present century culminating in the redevelopment of St Pancras station and its Midland Hotel.

The walk should last for 2 hours maximum.  We meet at 10.30am for a 10.45am start, in the forecourt of the British Library near the main entrance.

For more information please contact Peter Dawe, History Alumni Events Organiser on pjdawe@hotmail.com.
