Mental Health

UCL has a strong record in national primary care observational and interventional research in mental and physical health. PRIMENT Clinical Trials Unit, a collaboration between UCL Department of Primary Care & Population Health and Mental Health Sciences and the MRC General Practice Research Framework, currently coordinates 25 clinical trials (amongst them: MATISSE, DYD, PROCEED, ESCAPE, OPEN, PRO-AGE 65, REAL, STI Partner Notification, FLU WATCH, IID2, RT, Help-Seeking, Attrition & Recruitment, START) across several clinical research domains focused around primary care and mental health.

The Farr Institute, London is working with our experts in this field to seize opportunities for novel national linkages among several sources including: repeated standardised mental health assessments in IAPT, primary care, NICOR, the national joint replacement register and sources of patient-reported outcomes.
