DR BENJAMIN GARDNER SOOD (aka Gardner)
Lecturer in Health Psychology

BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS
Ben's undergraduate and postgraduate studies were all undertaken at University of Sussex under the supervision of Professor Charles Abraham. After obtaining a first class BA (Hons) in Social Psychology in 2003, Ben was awarded a studentship by the Economic and Social Research Council for a transport psychology project exploring determinants of decisions to drive in the presence of non-car alternative transport. Ben completed an MRes in Psychological Methods (with distinction) in 2004, and a DPhil in Social Psychology in 2008.

Ben's first postdoctoral position was in the Centre for Outcomes Research and Effectiveness (2008-09), working as a Research Associate with Professor Susan Michie on various projects which have sought to understand and strengthen the extent to which healthcare research, policy and practice is based on theory and evidence.

Ben joined the Health Behaviour Research Centre in January 2009.
