UCL Haemostasis Course

The course is designed for SpRs studying for FRCPath
but may also be of interest to Biomedical Scientists
(Delegates from industry are welcome)

Venue: University College London
Date: 30th September to 4th October 2013
Course fees: £600 (5 days, refreshments provided)

 

The course will be composed of a series of lectures followed by discussion, data interpretation sessions and MCQ’s.

The topics covered will include:
• Paediatric haemostasis
• Laboratory Investigation of bleeding disorders
• Laboratory investigations of thrombophilia
• Clinical management of acquired and congenital bleeding disorders
• Tests of the fibrinolytic system
• TTP – Laboratory investigations and treatment
• Laboratory control of anticoagulants
• Management of the anticoagulant service
• Patient self testing and dosing

Faculty Includes: Sam Machin, Ian Mackie, Andy Chitolie, Andrew Lawrie, Hannah Cohen, Ri Liesner, Marie Scully, Mike Laffan, Paul Harrison and other eminent external speakers.
