Green Impact Award April 24th 2013
The NUS Green Impact programme has been in progress at UCL for the second year running. The programme encourages teams to undertake a number of actions to reduce their environmental impacts - thereby contributing to UCL's overall environmental sustainability programme. In 2011/12, 19 UCL teams signed up and completed actions as part of Green Impact. In 2012/13, 29 teams have got involved in the programme and undertaken actions ranging from the purchase of sustainable food to the use of UCL's waste reuse scheme, WarpIt. Green Champions Forum and Training Sessions

Student Switch Off
During the 2012/13 academic year five UCL halls are taking part in Student Switch Off!
- Frances Gardner
- Langton Close
- Astor College
- Schafer
- James Lighthill House
The halls are competing to see who can save the most energy and the hall that saves the most will win a party! There will be lots of events and competitions throughout the year which you can see on UCL's Student Switch Off facebook page.
UCL has a page on the Student Switch Off Website where you can find out more information about the programme and how to save energy.
