The UCL Institute of Education gardens provide a haven for wildlife (and UCL staff and students), on the roof of the UCL Institute of Education. And for the past month, members of the UCL community have been given the opportunity to submit their designs for one of four biodiversity-supporting raised beds in the gardens.

Free IEMA approved environmental audit training & experience
Boost your employability and sustainability literacy: receive training and conduct environmental audits on 19th or 20th March.
Green Impact is a UCL-wide competition and accreditation scheme. It's all about staff and student teams working together to improve their department's environmental impact. And once this annual programme finishes, participating teams must be audited.
This is where you come in. You don’t need any prior experience; student auditors will receive training approved by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment in the mornings of 19th or 20th March (at Ramsay Hall). You'll then receive a certificate of participation.
After a free lunch, you'll audit UCL’s Green Impact teams in departments and divisions across the university.
This is a great opportunity to:
- Get IEMA approved audit training and certificate
- Boost your sustainability literacy
- Gain skills and experience to put on your CV
- Learn how UCL departments are addressing their environmental issues
- Meet others with similar interests over a free lunch!
