A cycling university

UCL loves cycling. Whether it’s the student-led Bike Logic project running free bike maintenance sessions, the Cycling Club’s regular rides and races, or just the thousands of you who cycle every day; we’re a university well-placed for travel on two wheels.

Improving facilities

We know facilities for cycling aren’t perfect. Whether it’s a lack of bike parking or confusing cycle lanes, both UCL and the rest of London have got room for improvement. And here on the Sustainability Team, we’re playing our part to tackle this. This year, we’ve already installed 181 new bike parking spaces around campus.

A new fixed bike pump and maintenance stand (complete with tools) with soon be accessible in Foster Court too. And we’re also working with Camden Council to provide training to boost the confidence of beginner riders, and installing more lockers to store your gear in across the campus.

Working together with Bike Logic, UCLU Cycling Club and a host of contributors from across the university, we’ve put this site together to help support and promote cycling as a safe, low-cost, environmentally-friendly way to get around London.

We hope it’ll provide an easy way to find out about getting started on a bike, as well as information on safety, security, facilities and all the activities there are on offer. If you’d like to submit your events to our calendar, just get in touch.
