Win £20k to bring your business dream to life. The closing date of the Mayor's Entrepreneur competition is now only a month away but there is still plenty time for you to get involved.

Enter your sustainable business idea by midnight on the 18th of February and you will be eligible to attend an additional session of training. If you’ve already attended a workshop this academic year, and you submit an idea and attend the training, you will receive a certificate signed by the Mayor!

What is the Mayor’s Entrepreneur Competition?

From making London less wasteful, to making it more sustainable and green, the Mayor’s Office wants your ideas on how to improve the capital. London students submit their ideas and the winner will be crowned Mayor’s Entrepreneur 2018 – as well as the chance to receive £20,000 to bring their idea to life!

How do I apply?

All you need is an idea. The application is a simple online form and does not require a business plan. So why not apply? Worst case scenario you will receive training, meet like-minded students and get a certificate to add to your CV. And best case you will get £20,000, expert advice and support from City Hall to take your idea to market.

Follow in Arthur’s footsteps

So if you have a smart, innovative business idea that can make London better why not enter now and you could be the next Arthur Kay. Arthur was studying at the Bartlett School of Architecture when he won in 2012. His idea, Bio-Bean, has now industrialised the process of turning waste coffee grounds into advanced biofuels and biochemicals. He is now CEO of his own company which is worth millions of pounds and employs over 50 people. You also may have seen Bio-bean on the side of London buses in the last few months when they launched their new campaign powering buses with their bio-diesel.
