Mayor entrepreneur

The Mayor of London, has launched a search for the brightest student entrepreneurial talent with ideas for ‘green’ business projects to help tackle urgent environmental problems facing the capital. Could you be Sadiq's next Entrepreneur?

How does it work?

  • Submit a smart idea to take on London's green challenges, from tackling pollution and boosting air quality to lowering carbon footprints.
  • Successful entrants will get mentoring from business experts to help shape their ideas.
  • They will then have the opportunity to pitch their project 'Dragon's Den' style to investors at City Hall.
  • Citi Foundation are supporting the scheme and will be giving the winning project £20,000 in start-up funding.

In previous years UCL students have won the competition, including Arthur Kay who set up bio-bean, a clean technology business.
