UCL Special Advisers are UCL academic staff who advise the university’s President and Provost about specific countries that are key to the success of UCL's international Strategy. UCL Special Advisers are appointed not only because they have developed long-term academic links with their designated country, but also because they have a proven understanding of its cultural, political and social contexts. While the role of UCL Special Advisor is honorary, such advisers work in close co-ordination with the UCL Vice-Provost (Academic and international) and the UCL Pro-Provosts.
