Africa and Middle East Network

Established in 2013, UCL’s Africa and Middle East network is open to academic and professional services staff from departments across UCL with an interest in the regions.
The network meets regularly throughout the year to discuss current work in the regions as well as proposals for UCL's future engagement.
Priorities for the network this coming year:
- Development of a proposal for a multi-faculty, interdisciplinary Master’s in African Studies, with a range of specialised study tracks
- Establishment of a Centre for the Modern Arab World at UCL
- A comprehensive action plan to coordinate alumni activity in Africa
- Development of a series of symposia to be hosted by members of the network
