NEW: 100 Grand Challenge PhD Studentships in Biomedicine

Inspired by the Grand Challenges, UCL has initiated an elite PhD training programme designed to attract those researchers with the highest intellectual and scientific skills to the field of biomedical and life sciences. A total of 100 Grand Challenge Studentships in Biomedicine will be available over the next three years through funding provided by the UCL Faculty of Biomedical Sciences and the NIHR Biomedical Research Centres at UCLH, Moorfields and Great Ormond Street Hospitals. Institute for Global Health launches small grants programme

Do you have an idea for a research project or want to develop research collaborations with overseas partners? The Institute for Global Health small grants programme will make awards of up to £5000 to UCL staff, for activities that lead to, or support, interdisciplinary research collaboration on global health. UCL–Lancet Commission: Climate change is the biggest global-health threat of the 21st century

A major report on managing the health effects of climate change, launched jointly by ‘The Lancet’ and UCL on 14 May 2009, says that climate change is the biggest global-health threat of the 21st century.
