Where and how do I get there?

A coach will be available, departing from and returning to UCL. Those not wishing to travel by coach, should inform Jane Dempster.

Why?

This Retreat will provide a unique opportunity for everyone to get to know each other well, and to generate new collaborations, share ideas and forge friendships. It is hoped that we will build on the two previous Away Days (held at Chandler House), in convivial and elegant surroundings, in the hope that we can repeat this event on an annual basis (funds and/or sponsorship permitting).

Your participation is encouraged. If you are unable to attend, we would strongly recommend that you send your delegate who can represent you/your group. Numbers are kept relatively small to encourage maximum interaction and participation.

	RETREAT FACILITIES We are using the Sandby (pictured) and Hodgson Rooms. There is a small fitness area and table-tennis in the basement.
	OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION We have reserved 30 x twin bedrooms at Cumberland Lodge (from its total of 53 bedrooms/maximum capacity of 95 guests).
	EVENT BEGINS Arrival and Registration at 2pm, Afternoon tea at 3pm. Briefing by Cumberland Lodge Manager and check into bedrooms. Welcome by Prof Andrew Pomiankowski at 3.30pm. EVENT ENDS Friday 20 April at approx. 5pm. Bedroom must be cleared at breakfast-time and luggage left downstairs (in room to be agreed).
	MEALS INCLUDED On arrival, afternoon tea, Conference Dinner (including Veggie option). Free bar on Thursday night (for pre-and post-dinner drinks); Breakfast, mid-morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea.
	WHO WILL BE THERE? All Academic Staff/PIs and post-docs in GEE and colleagues from ZSL and external speakers. A full list of those attending, to date, will be available shortly. If you spot any errors or omissions, please let Jane know asap.
	WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? If you're giving a talk, you need to bring your presentation either on a memory stick or your laptop. The PC departmental laptop will be plugged into the PowerPoint system and you can upload your presentation to the laptop in advance of your talk.
