To promote our work, and to increase awareness of databases and the Gene Ontology (GO) curation process, we are involved in a number of teaching initiatives:
- In the Spring of each year, we run a two-day Bioinformatics workshop, designed to boost understanding of bioinformatics resources and their use.
- We teach a Bioinformatics module with the UCL Genetics of Human Disease MSc. course.
- For many years we have participated in the Community Assessment of Community Annotation (CACAO) competition.
