The JDI Centre for the Forensic Sciences hosts a popular research seminar series during term time for students and staff at UCL. We are happy to welcome external guests, but we do ask that you contact us to find out if there is space at the venue. We advertise these seminars on this page, via our newsfeed, and in the CFS Bulletin as well as directly via email.
Academics and students at the Centre also present their research at conferences organised by the Jill Dando Institute of Security and Crime Science, and at external conferences. For updates on external conferences, do check our newsfeed and our Twitter feed regularly, and check the latest issue of the CFS Bulletin.

Advances in Temporal Forensic Investigations
- Determining the temporal aspect of a crime is particularly problematic for investigators and is still a major gap in forensic science. The University of Huddersfield is hosting a 2-day, multi-disciplined conference which brings together an array of experts from a wide range of scientific disciplines, as well as from different criminal justice agencies (including police) with the aim of demonstrating the latest developments in the field of forensic and related sciences.
