Iwan Morgan

Iwan Morgan is Professor of US Studies and Commonwealth Fund Professor of American History in UCL’s Institute of the Americas.

He has published widely in US political, economic and cultural history. His main works have studied the presidency, notably The Age of Deficits: US Presidents and Unbalanced Budgets from Jimmy Carter to George W. Bush, winner of the Richard E. Neustadt book prize in 2010. 

Recently he has branched out into movie history that also incorporates his presidential interests. He has edited Presidents in the Movies: American Politics and History on Screen. He is presently writing a biography of Ronald Reagan to appear in 2016.
