Karin Ruggaber

Karin Ruggaber is an artist and Lecturer at The Slade School of Fine Art.

She makes sculpture and works with a range of different materials and media considering ideas around figuration, aspects of touch and the relationship to architectural scale. Recent works include relief sculptures using materials such as concrete, plaster, fabric and wood.

She has been organising an exhibition project with Postgraduate Sculpture students at the UCL Earth Sciences Rock Room. Emphasising a visceral and non-rationalised way of looking at the collection, the project explores exhibition making, the materiality and organisation of space, as well as the fantasies surrounding the respective disciplines.
